Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Recently, I went to watch the US version of Girl with the Dragon Tattoo with two of my friends. I intended on reading the book before watching the movie, but failed. I was actually glad I didn't read the book before hand; the movie was extremely grotesque and disturbing. I'm a fan of mystery and crime novels, but watching the movie, I knew the book would be more detailed about certain scenes than I would like. During one of the scenes, I left for the bathroom because I started cringing and wanted to scream.

One of the few things I couldn't stop thinking about during and after the movie were 1) Anita's blouse when Mikhael first meets her at the bank, and 2) the leather jacket Elisabeth purchases. I've been on the hunt for an affordable chiffon or silk blouse for a while, and hers was perfect in every way. The color, the material, and the way it hugged her body. Madewell has one close, but I bring myself to purchase something for 110 dollars especially when I'm broke.

Today I found out that H&M had a collection for Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Unfortunately, the only place to purchase them are on ebay (boo!) for twice or more the original price. I love ALL the clothes and wish I knew about it earlier.

For those who were oblivious to it as I was, here's a link to the full collection. There's been some controversy about the collection and what it's portraying, but I suppose it's your choice to decide what it is.
